Tommy Denney

Principal

I was called to the role of School Administrator in July of 2023 to be part of the work God is doing at CCA. I am married to my best friend, Gloria Denney, and we are blessed with four children and

five grandchildren. I love listening to a variety of faithful preachers proclaiming God’s Inspired Word.

My greatest passion and joy is following the Lord and helping others live lives fully devoted to Him. I recognize that to be a Christian school administrator, one must surrender to God daily and rely on His wisdom, understanding, and knowledge. It is my desire to strive to create a school culture of unity, care, and engagement that brings students, staff, and families together—a place of Christ-centered education.

Jenny Waldon

Kindergarten Teacher

Hello! I am Jenny Waldon, and I live in Riva with my husband, Michael, and our four children

who attend Chesapeake Christian Academy (CCA). For over a decade, we’ve been a part of the ministry at Chesapeake Christian Fellowship where our faith and connection to our local community have grown.

I have been teaching at CCA since 2023. I bring my excitement for nurturing young minds as

I have done as a mother for the past 13 years. I hold a bachelor's degree in Environmental Management with an emphasis in Biology from UMUC (now UMGC) and an associate's degree in Biblical Studies from New Tribes Bible Institute. My teaching philosophy centers on connecting with each child individually, understanding their unique needs, and fostering their growth in a fun and

engaging environment.

My husband and I also own a retail business in Annapolis focusing on specialty candles

and home fragrances. In addition to spending time with our cats, dog, and chickens, our family loves the outdoors and enjoys activities like hiking, exploring the river, or relaxing at parks and playgrounds.

Brittany Wolfe

1st & 2nd Grade Teacher

My name is Brittany Wolfe. I have an associate's degree in Early Childhood Special Education, a bachelor's degree in Behavioral Psychology, and graduate-level courses in Adolescent Behavior. I have previously taught in both cooperative private schools and county schools. I was blessed to attend a private Christian school for my K-8th grade schooling and am honored to now teach in a Christian school.

I am married to my husband, Sean, and we have three fur babies: Bob, Roscoe, and

Scarlett. I have a passion for teaching and for each student that enters my

classroom family. They each bring such joy to my life, and I am honored to have

the chance to come alongside them in their spiritual and academic growth.

A quick, fun fact about me is that I also had the wonderful privilege to teach English as a

second language using the Word of God to the people (specifically young children) in Poland.

Caraline Bothmer

3rd & 4th Grade Teacher

I am excited to be part of the Chesapeake Christian Academy team. I earned my bachelor’s degree in music, Vocal, from Liberty University and had the privilege of interning at Annapolis Area Christian School in Spring 2024.

My greatest passions are music, especially singing, and a love for stories. Outside of

teaching, you’ll often find me with my nose in a book, singing along to my favorite tunes, or spending time with my wonderful, large family. I consider my classroom and its students a true blessing, and I am grateful to the Lord for this opportunity.

Marc Conley

5th & 6th Grade Teacher

Assistant School Administrator

I have been teaching here at CCA since 2022.  I have been in education since 2007 teaching everything from kindergarten to high school seniors (not too much difference between those grades except in their height, of course). All joking aside, I have a master’s degree in secondary education and many years of experience. I am always ready and willing to learn more to be the teacher God wants me to be. I am also honored to be CCA’s Assistant School Administrator, supporting our God-fearing Administrator, Mr. Tommy, and our excellent staff to ensure CCA continues to thrive in God’s will.

I end with a verse that is so important for myself and all of us to obey: “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths. Be not wise in thine own eyes: Fear the Lord and depart from evil.”

Proverbs 3:5-7 KJV

Brittney Freed

7th Grade Teacher

I am originally from the countryside of southern Virginia where I was raised by my loving family and trained in the Christian faith. Currently pursuing my doctorate, I strongly believe in education and allowing the Holy Spirit to lead your individual path along the journey God the Father has predestined for you.

Outside of teaching, I have recently been ordained in the offices of pastor and teacher according to Ephesians 4:11. I am a “sports girl” and thoroughly enjoy watching football, baseball, and basketball, where I root for my favorite teams: the Dallas Cowboys, the Los Angeles Dodgers, UNC Tar Heels, and the Los Angeles Lakers. My husband and I, Andrew, stepped into holy matrimony in October 2024.

I've remained active as a group fitness instructor for over twenty-two years. I have a bachelor's degree in English-Literary Studies.
