Jenny Waldon
Kindergarten Teacher
Hello! I am Jenny Waldon, and I live in Riva with my husband, Michael, and our four children. For over a decade, we’ve been a part of the ministry at Chesapeake Christian Fellowship where our faith and connection to our local community have grown.
I have been teaching at CCA since 2023. I bring my excitement for nurturing young
minds as I have done as a mother for the past 13 years. I hold a bachelor's degree in Environmental Management with an emphasis in Biology from UMGC and an associate's degree in Biblical Studies from New Tribes Bible Institute.
My teaching philosophy centers on connecting with each child individually, understanding their unique needs, and fostering their growth in a fun and engaging environment.
My husband and I also own a retail business in Annapolis focusing on specialty candles
and home fragrances. In addition to spending time with our cats, dog, and chickens, our family loves the outdoors and enjoys activities like hiking, exploring the river, or relaxing at parks and playgrounds.

Caraline Bothmer
1st & 2nd Grade Teacher
I love being part of the Chesapeake Christian Academy team. I earned my bachelor’s degree in music, Vocal, from Liberty University and had the privilege of interning at Annapolis Area Christian School in Spring 2024.
My greatest passions are music, especially singing, and a love for stories. Outside of
teaching, you’ll often find me with my nose in a book, singing along to my favorite tunes, or spending time with my wonderful, large family. I consider my classroom and its students a true blessing, and I am grateful to the Lord for this opportunity.

Marc Conley
5th & 6th Grade Teacher
I have been teaching here at CCA since 2022. I have been in education since 2007 teaching everything from kindergarten to high school seniors (not too much difference between those grades except in their height, of course). All joking aside, I have a master’s degree in secondary education and many years of experience. I am always ready and willing to learn more to be the teacher God wants me to be.
I end with a verse that is so important for myself and all of us to obey: “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths. Be not wise in thine own eyes: Fear the Lord and depart from evil.” Proverbs 3:5-7 KJV

Lynn Swager
7th & 8th Grade Teacher
My name is Lynn Swager and I am very excited to become a full-time staff member at
CCA this year teaching 7th and 8th grade, as well as music. I have been a member of
CCF for quite some time and I have served on the praise team as an instrumentalist
and vocalist. I currently serve as the vocal coach for our amazing praise team.
I joined CCA in 2023 as the general music teacher for grades K-7. I hold a Bachelor of
Science degree in Music Performance in French Horn from Youngstown State
University, along with additional education classes that help me better serve my
students. I have been teaching music privately for 43 years to students ages 5-75, as
well as managing a local music store for 29 years. God has opened this opportunity for
me to teach at CCA and I could not be more excited! I look forward to teaching these
young minds not only their standard curriculum but also the love of God: To them, in
them, and to share it with others. We are able to be light in the world and how better to
do that than through our youth.
“Let everything that has breath Praise the Lord. Praise the Lord. Psalm 150:6

Courtney Danna
P.E Teacher
I've been blessed to live in Davidsonville for 20 years with my husband, Frank, two children, Francesca and Derek, and two dogs, Ben and Lucy. I worked for a government contractor before being called to serve full-time, first through the sports ministry with the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and second as the new Children's Ministry Director here at CCF.
God blessed me as a young competitive gymnast, high school, and collegiate cheerleader and later guided me to coach the Dance Team at the University of Maryland and Cheerleading at Georgetown University. I've remained active as a group fitness instructor for over twenty-two years. I have a bachelor's degree in English-Literary Studies. I'm excited to teach physical education at Chesapeake Christian Academy.

Laurie Donovan
Teacher's Aid
My name is Laurie Donovan and I am part of the Chesapeake Christian Academy
Support Staff. I have been a dedicated member of CCF since 2019, when my love of
Jesus and music brought me to a Danny Gokey concert here at CCF. I am forever
grateful to my Lord and Savior for that experience.
Before joining the CCA staff in 2021, I was blessed to teach at Shepherd’s Flock
Preschool and Summer Camp. In September 2023, I became part of the CCA Support
Staff as the Floater/Assistant. I now have the privilege of serving and assisting our CCA
teachers and the entire community from kindergarten through 8th grade. This is a
blessing that I don’t take lightly. I love serving our CCA family and contributing to the
successes and growth of our students. I am especially grateful to the lord Jesus for
allowing me to help our Lions learn and grow in their faith.
